28 Dec Clinton’s Exhibit: “Haiti: Building Back Better”

Well, now we know what Clinton has been up to these past several months in his mission to “build back better”:

December 4, 2010 – February 6, 2011
The Clinton Presidential Center celebrates the people and culture of Haiti as the nation recovers from the devastating earthquake. The exhibit will highlight the history of Haiti, Haitian arts and culture, President Clinton’s presidential and post-presidential involvement with the country, and earthquake recovery efforts.

Exhibition Education Activities

• The Haiti: Building Back Better Tour for School Groups – The tour highlights President Clinton’s current work and his continued support to Haiti. Students will see the effects of the January 12, 2010, earthquake in Haiti. They will learn about the resilience of the Haitian people and the economic value of art to the Haitian community.

Thank goodness Little Rock, AR now has a better understanding about Haiti’s “culture” and “history”. *whew* That could’ve been disastrous, otherwise! And who are the partners?

Haiti: Building Back Better is in cooperation of the Smithsonian Institution through its Haiti Cultural Recovery Project.
Serge Jolimeau and Michee Ramil Remy was organized by the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, Florida, U.S.A. and was curated by Bonnie Clearwater. Exhibitions are made possible with support from the City of North Miami, the State of Florida, Florida Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, and the Florida Arts Council, the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs, the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners.
